The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) EB-5 Visa Program (the “EB-5 Program;” “EB-5”) was created by the United States Congress through passage of the Immigration and Nationality Act in 1990. “USCIS” sets aside 10,000 visas per fiscal year for immigrant applicants to obtain citizenship through the EB-5 Program. The EB-5 Program allows accredited foreign applicants who invest $1,000,000 or $500,000 (if project is in a Targeted Employment Area) and in a U.S. business that creates 10 full-time jobs per investor to apply for a "Green Card” and start on the path to becoming a U.S. Citizen. A green card allows a person to live and work in the U.S.
